【Myth】The sun illuminates the sky and the Earth. All living things depend upon it for their growth. To me, the sun is the symbolic existence of the Truth, which provides the essential nutrition for a life with equality. As the rotation and revolution of the Earth, the geographic distribution of total sunshine hours incredibly varied. Our planet’s appearances also flux throughout the year.In my universe, the highlighting of the apple is a metaphor for the Earth – a symbolic miniature of our planet. The strong contrast effect between highlight and core shadow carries with it a common thread, signifying various forms of existence of Truth. In reality, it may be a false truth – a collective awareness formed, according to the values of different groups, regions, cultures.【Chapter 1:Anti-Asian Hate】Inspired by the legend of William Tell (who was forced to shoot an apple off the head of his son), “Myth Chapter 1: Anti-Asian Racism” depicts the xenophobic 'blame-game' rhetoric that targets people of Asian descent for COVID-19’s spread. The coronavirus, first identified in China, has infected and killed millions across the globe. Many countries continue to enforce sanitary measures to prevent the virus’s spread. -from lockdowns to the closures of museums and restaurants. One year into the pandemic? An alarmingly uptick in hate crimes against people of Asian descent throughout the U.S. and Europe. ARTIST: Yi-Chen LEEMAKE-UP: Anaëlle PINCEPOCHESTYLING: Kaiyu WUASSISTANTS: Qiting LIN Tzu-Yang HANMODELS: Tracy YEN, Alexander CHENG, Junjie Zheng
